The Beauty of Social Technology Created Long Before Capitalism

The Power & Empowerment of Teaching and Learning Through Ceremony and Meaning Making

Lyla June Johnston | Indigenous social technologies via Regenerators

This clip is from the session with Lyla June Johnston on indigenous wisdom as a blueprint for regenerative leadership, as part of the Regenerative Leadership Journey 2022.

Lyla June Johnston is a public speaker, artist, scholar and community organizer of Diné (Navajo), Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne) and European lineages from Taos, New Mexico. Her messages focus on Indigenous rights, supporting youth, traditional land stewardship practices and healing inter-generational and inter-cultural trauma.

This has so many layers of depth after watching Lyla June's discussion of Indigenous Social Technologies on Regenerators youtube channel yesterday. The potency and power of female empowerment is bringing me to happy tears and tears of gratitude, the power of such beauty is humbling in honoring the strength in matrilineal lines. -Diana Eileen Delaney
